Well I tried to start my project car and it doesn't start.

Cranks, has fuel, and timing should be good but it doesn't start. I think it doesn't have any spark but we'll see. It's a good thing that I have a spare dsm that I daily drive to test parts on my project. I'm going to see if the spark plug wires are still good and go from there.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to work on it this week. :thumb:

I don't think its the ECU. It still displays engine cel and the factory boost gauges moves to neutral.

I think its either the battery or the spark plug wires or what so ever. I'll check this week, I just haven't test any components yet.

does it sound like it wants to start or does it just spin away?

for it to start you need that crank sensor for the 2&3 cyl and you need the cas for the 1&2 cyl check all grounds and the map sensor hooked up wiggle all your connections

Thanks for the suggestion guys, I haven't had the chance to work on it since my sister started to borrow my daily but I will soon hopefully.

Had the same problem when I did my head. Car had compression, spark, and fuel. Turns out it was only sparking in the one cylinder and it was picking up a random misfire code. Crank sensor had a bent pin in it, straightened out the pin and Vrmmm Vrmmmmm.

You guys might ve jumping the gun a bit. Check you coils and what not as well if your not getting spark. Also make sure there in the right order (the plugs) You might think im being a smart ass, but you'd be supprised how many people cross them up.

Yeah, I would first pull out all four plugs, one at time, and visually check for spark while someone turns the key. That will at least give you a starting point. If you don't have spark, check all electric connections and start testing the circuits/wires/plugs.

good call ripper i had the same problem and had to swap the plug order but it all depends what cam sensor is in the car.

i bet its the ignition module.. i was driving one day and all of a sudden it ran real rough, check engine light popped on so i pulled over, pulled wires stuck screw drive in plug boot and grounded. 2 cylinders missing.. then was unable to start. after about 10 mins it started ran fine then soon as it got hot again it did same thing.. replaced ignition module and never had a problem since.

Thanks all for the advice guys. I'm going to just swap parts between my daily spyder and talon one at a time to see which doesn't work. Its a 6 bolt swapped with 1g CAS.
