I'm looking for a distributor crank angle sensor for a 2.0 4 cyl. non turbo and a distributor coil pack for cheap anyone who got one or knows where to get one let me know i've called all the salvage yards in my area and cant find one or if anyone has any other suggestions on what could cause it to have no spark all of a sudden let me know either message me on here or email me at [email protected]

Those motors dont have a crank angle sensor, or a distributor. Your looking for a cam angle sensor and a coil pack also you could have a problem with your power transitor.

i got a 93 laser and i got the same problem, its a 5 speed with a 1.8.. is that what you got under the hood? i've tired like 4 different distributors from yards and no luck..i only get spark from number 1 on the distributor cap but no sparks from the other three on the cap..i've tired new rotor, cap, spark plugs, wires and used distributor and still the same..i've even changed the CTS and ECU..still the same. could it be that i need to buy a brand new distributor?...i've recently found that my fuse relay box on the passenger side has a short cricut..anyone here thinks that could be the problem???????

I would say for Redwan those 1.8's have the distributor running off of the intake cam if I'm not mistaken, If you are getting a good strong spark on #1 it's probably the distributor out of time. best and easiest way to check it is to rotate the crank until the timing mark on the crankshaft pulley shows top dead center, Then pull the cap off the distributor and see if the rotor is close to the number one position it wont be dead on but should be close.
If not try reinstalling the distributor and set the teeth so that it is in the position that gets it closest to the number one position then test for spark on the other three
Hope this is helpfull

i did just what u said, and still no spark on the other three, but i noticed that the connector that goes to the transistor on the dist has three wires, one of those wires is white which has another wire(brown with white strips) covering the white.. that brown with white strips is not connected to anything, where does this brown with white stripe wire go? could it be a ground?
i tried it grounding it, but still nothing..

Here's a wiring diagram of the distirbutor and all related components

Hope this is helpfull, It look like two of the wires go to the ballast resistor and the other one goes to the coil.

this is very puzzling if one pulg gets spark then you are getting fire to the cap, as long as the rotor is making contact with the other contact points inside the cap they should get fire.

Is the inside of the cap scored damaged or evidence of arcing present ?

anyone here knows how to fix the timing on the 1.8 laser? i checked the timing and it was way off, got a new timing belt and was wondering if someone could help me with the timing on this laser please. i got the bottom pully timing mark on the spot, but the cam gear is way off, how can i fix this?
