K so i just recently pulled my motor, rebuilt the top end, redid the timing, and added Crane cams. Dropped the motor in and now i have no power getting to my coilpack but i am getting fuel. I used a multimeter and tested all the wires to the coil and none have power. From my searchin i found out the middle wire should have 12+ consent power. Next i test the ASD relay. the Red/Black Black/White wire has power to it. Therefore i would assume the ECU is not the problem, but could be wrong. Then i swapped the ASD to the Fuel pump relay and the fuel pump turned on so the relays good. Now im lost on what to check next. I've check all the plugs on the motor and everythings plugged in. Another thing is i just tested to see if i get power to the coil when i first turn the key on and i dont and no power while crankin either. Any help on what to check next?

Edit: Just pulled a code for the Camshaft angle sensor malfunction bank 1. So i took it off and cleaned it good. But that still does explain why i have no power to the coil.

You should always measure a constant +12V on those two wires, they're connected to the battery. You want to measure the voltage on the black/red wire, this is the wire that goes to the ignition coil and other things, including the injectors. You mentioned you "have fuel," but are the fuel injectors actually opening? If not, that suggests the ASD relay isn't switching on. You should measure the black/red wire to confirm.

The ASD relay is controlled by the ECU, so if it's not switching on, look for stored codes and replace the faulty sensor you found.

found out what the problem was. the pickup magnaut on the cam was dirty as sin. quick cleaning and it started right up
