Hey, I need help diagnosing my problem.

My car, 1992 Eclipse 1.8L (4G37) is not producing any spark (cranks fine). I was told that the crank/cam shaft sensors do not directly relate to spark in the 1.8L like in the turbo models. So what else is there left for me to check? ALSO in case it makes any difference, the CEL used to come on when I crank it, now it is not turning on at all.

I have already replaced the following:
Plugs
Distributor
Cap
Rotor

-Next I'll try is the wires. Anything else I should check? I need to get a voltmeter... mine broke :(

Your CEl should come on for afew seconds when you first put in the key and turn it to 'run' then it should go out. If your CEl light is not coming on at all you may have a computer problem. If you get a new voltmeter you can use it to check for any stored codes that you may have. It can also tell you if your computer is faulty (called a 'NO CODE' when the needle on voltmeter will stay at 12v and not move at all) Detailed instructions on how to pull codes with the voltmeter are in section 6-9 of the haynes manual if you need them...

The first page in section 5-1 explains the diff. in the 1.8 and 2.0l electrical systems.
We do not have the same sensors on the 1.8l engine. We have a 'solid state ignition' and the 2.0l are distributorless ignition systems...

Check the connections where your computer plugs in first. (Behind Radio) Maybe something came loose?? My computer is a few years older than yours and is not leaking yet, So Who knows? Maybe yours is fried, maybe not... change the fuse in your voltmeter and check it out. Hope you get it all figured out and running soon.

I ended up bringing back the Distributor because it obviously wasn't the problem (got my 300 some odd dollars back). I will check the connections to the ECU when I go back. That'd be kinda funny if it was just a loose connection the whole time ROFL

I have the Chiltons, not haynes manual. But I found the section your speaking of. I'll check if there are any error codes/fried ECU.
