my friend bought a 2g gst off ebay, he brought it by my work and of couse i told him to pop the hood i looked at it and it had stock turbo stock everything other than a open k&n, when i looked at the waste gate their is no hose at all on the wg, i dont know how it gets any signal or how it is working, he has an aftermarket boost gauge and he says it runs 14psi any one have any comments or concerns.......?

Sure he doesn't have an external wastegate?
There's a huge boost leak alright -- it's called the 2g BOV. About 14 psi is the max I could get with a MBC get until installed a 1g BOV. My first test with the 1g BOV installed almost pegged my boost meter. OMG

Wow, I bet you're right.

Pressurize the intake to 17PSI or so and check for leaks. If it's the BOV, get that sucker replaced with a 1G unit and hook the wastegate actuator back up to a boost source.

Unless you put boost pressure on the WGA spring, the WG arm will never move. If the nipple isn't sourced to anything, that wastegate's staying closed no matter how much boost you build.

so that means max boost of the turbo right? So pow to the turbo?

That'd be my guess, especially considering with a boost leak, there's not even as much resistance on the compressor wheel to slow down the wheels. So you're going to run the turbo at insane speeds - speeds that the turbo bearing wasn't designed to handle.
