I just got my afc in the mail and I have a big problem, I have 2 and a half feet of wire and then it was clipped off. I know it came with a harness but where can I get one? can I splice the end of these wires into a harness?, has this ever been done?

Sure you can splice it in, mine is spliced in. You have to get the wiring diagram for your car.

Oh yea, and I dont have an installation manual for this either, so I dont know what wires go where...:notgood:

Mine was pulled out of a car that was goin junk, so I just cut the wire. I had my friend install it and now its hardwired straight the car harness. Check on VFAQ for a wiring diagram for your car.

Don't worry about the harness. It is not like a turbo timer harness that you can just plug in and go. Even if you have a harness you still need to crimp, :nono: , or solder, :thumb: , the wires to the ECU. On top of that if you have the harness you still need to clip that goes into the harness that was cut off the AFC istself. Searh and look for a 1G install for an AFC and it will tell you what wire on the AFC go to what wires on the car. Then you just have to get a picture of the pinout for a 1G and solder accordingly.
