Nipple On Stock 1G J Pipe QUESTION.

k, i got a 16g and im gonna do an install kit myself. just picked up a stock 14b jpipe off a 1g from the local junk yard. there is a nipple on it for a vac line or pressure line. does it do the same thing as the nipple on the t25 turbo housing? basically, can i run a line from that jpipe nipple to the wastegate actuator?

You can if you aren't running a boost controller of sorts. It will only allow as much boost as the wastegate is set at on the turbo. Usually 12lbs. If you have a MBC like me, I just capped it off.

thnaks man, btw, you cant run a mbc from the turbo nipple? does it have to run off manifold vacuum or what?

You tee it into the bov line on one side and then into the wastegate on the other side.

so when using an mbc it has to be tee'd into a bov/wastegate line. it cant be tee'd into a wastegate/jpipe line. ok thanks.

Actually, you can run an mbc off of that nipple. I am running mine off of that nipple and then to the wastgate actuator. It keeps the lines short. I have my mbc strapped to the radiator fan, right there. No problems and stays at 15 psi, no spikes or creep.

yeah that nipple works good for bleeder types of mbc's. my buddy ran a bleeder from there for about 5 years.
