New to the crew

Hey guys I just picked up my first DSM. I got an auto 1997 Eclipse GSX. It starts right up but the main issue is the transmission needs to be rebuilt. The car has a lot of rust and needs belts replaced as the cooling system is currently down due to the belt dry rotting. The 2G eclipse has always been a dream car of mine, I’ve owned a 2007 Eclipse GT and always wanted the 2G. The main issue I’m currently facing is finding the replacement parts I need to to the restore. As I’m new to the DSM I’m not familiar with the trusted sites to get OEM parts or good aftermarket substitutes. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated. I’m in the SW Florida area so if there is anyone local maybe we can help each other out ( if I’d be any help since I’m new but willing to learn and help ). Thank you for welcoming to the community and hopefully I can make some friends within the community!
P.S. please if anyone has OEM tail lights as the aftermarket ones on mine are not my taste

Welcome! I love a high wing on a GSX for sure and that engine bay looks pretty clean. Even better is someone willing to restore and get it road worthy and enjoy it! I'm fairly new back into the game myself here and you're in the right place, LOTS of excellent knowledge here on the forums. Check out the vendor advertisements at the bottom of the forum page for known good vendors. I've used and had good luck with Extreme PSI and STM Tuned for finding those knick knack parts along with Rock Auto (nothing OEM here, but a lot of stuff is not available new OE anymore.) For things that aren't available any more, check out the for sale forums as lots of good sellers offloading parts. Failing that try things like Facebook Marketplace (I can't stand FB, but that's where a lot of this stuff seems to be these days.) Good luck! Don't forget to start a build thread and show your progress.

Yeah, in my area the is barley anything of FB market and its hard to find parts. IM in need of door handles and OEM or close to Tail lights.

I tried to find some STL files for the door handle to see if I can 3d print them, but the only one I found you have to pay $20 for it but might be worth it so I can keep printing if they break again since apparently its very common
