just bought my first dsm about a month ago. this is my first car, turbo, manual transmission. pretty much new to everything including this site. jacked up my car and found out it had a bad head gasket, rusted strut towers, fmic that wasn't hooked up and an engine that was covered in oil. oh and don't forget a cracked transmission belhousing. my buddy and i bought a cherry picker together so i pulled my motor and trans at once. so far i have it down to the block and am putting in new bearings and arp main studs. i hope to get it cleaned up and running good before any performance mods. also i want to get the rust issue dealt with. its a nice car, just needs a good cleaning and taken care of. any advice or wisdom from all you older and more wise dsmers is greatly appreciated. eventually hoping to hit the 300hp mark and use it as a dd.
