New to DSM's

Hey I just Traded my RX-7 for a '91 Talon N/T. I'm getting ready to boost it. i know a decent amount about DSM's but not everything by far. My friend has a N/T laser RS that is boosted and is making 300FWHP. So I will probably be running a similar setup.

Welcome to the forums, any pictures of the old RX-7 (I have a soft-spot for Japanese super-cars), or of the new DSM? Slapping a turbo on a 1g N/A is nothing new, you can find lots of helpful information here and on other DSM sites. It sounds like you already have a decent idea of what's going on since your friend has already done this, so you're already one step ahead of the game.

Granted hondaslayer has a decent point, 1g's are so cheap now that you could skip all the work and gain AWD pretty cheaply. However, it is not for me to say what you should or shouldn't do, many have done this conversion already and are quite happy with the results. Let us know how it goes, and post up if you run into any problems; for the most part people here are quite helpful. Again, welcome to the forums.
