I have the goldline springs and the tokico shocks and my ride sucks...i haven't done the alignment or a camber kit...do those two things have any effect on the ride or is it just saving the life of the tire

They might have slight effects, but it almost sounds like the bumpstops weren't trimmed to a smaller size...is that the case?

Yeah, it's commonly known that dropping your car and adding stiffer shocks will kill your ride quality. Throw on some bigger rims and you'll have the amazing ability to feel every bump on the damn road.

yea dude ... its the goldlines they suck. I have goldlines + gr2's for shox.
RIDE SUX ! :notgood: but looks clean as hell ! :thumb:

and i think mine has to do w/ the bump stops, but im not about to take all that BS back apart for some bumps....

With apologies to Monty Python:

"I'm not dead, yet." - Cinder's ride quality

so alignment, camber kit...and trimming the bumpstops and im looking at a pretty decent ride?

trim the bumpstops, usually you have to trim about a 1/3 off of them, also,i assume your schocks are rebound adjustable right? set them to a softer setting....

i actually dont have the adjustable...should've spent a little bit more....but im going to try trimming the bumpstops...hopefully i have the smooth ride

The shocks you have aren't much stiffer than stock. Now that you've dropped the car 2", you've cut 2" of shock travel out. Now the car is bottoming out the shocks because they're not firm enough to prevent it. I've never heard of cutting the bump stops before this, but it doesn't seem like too good of an idea to me. Definitely don't trim too much. They're there so that a.) the car has something with a little give when it bottoms out the suspension and b.) to prevent the shock from over compressing. If you trim too much, you may make the shock valve body bottom out inside the shock, causing some damage. Again though, I'm just talking theory. Find someone who has the same shocks as you who has cut they're bumpstops to make sure you're not going to do any damage. Basically though, you're stuck with a bad ride unless you a.) switch to a smaller drop or b.) spring (no pun intended) for some stiffer shocks like konis or agxs.
