Ok, so I purchased the car a while back. I've had a few problems with it, nothing major. I'm looking into "moding" the car, but I wanted to make sure all the basics were in tune first. I'm not sure of the turbo size, do I have a MBC?, and also I'm not sure the PCV Valve was set up correctly, I took a few pics of the engine bay to help with diagnostics. If you see anything out of place, please inform me. All suggestions are welcome and if you need a specific picutre of something, let me know and i'll take it. Sorry if any of this sounded "noobish" just tryna learn

Go to the 2G diagram and locate the MBC on the diagram, and follow those vacuum lines that a MBC would be connected to and see if it leads to one on your car. Also, to test the health of your motor, just do a compression test, you can go to www.vfaq.com to answer most of your questions that you might have about matinence or whatever. And I cant really see in the pics your PCV valve, take a photo of the top left of your valve cover, thats where your PCV is located. Im also not familiar with 2G's and the T-25, so I dont know if that is what you have, but if you know that its the stock turbo, then yes it is a T-25.

Can't tell from the pics if you have a mbc, but obviously that turbo is not the stock t-25. Better pics of the vacume lines to the bov and such will be able to tell us more, if you have a mbc or not.

Do yourself a favor and make a boost leak pressure checker.

Buy yourself (10) 2-2.75 T-bolt clamps and replace all your "worm drive, <15psi clamps".

Then pressure check it and call future boost leaks a pipe dream.

Get some NGK BPR6ES plugs and gap them at .028, .029 or so and save the 7's for when you are 100 hp above stock (or 8 psi above stock)

Replace the fuel filter if you can, it helps so much. Seperate a can of Sea Foam into two containers. Inject one onto the intake and shut it off. Pour the other in the 710 crankcase. Change oil within the next 1000 miles.

I always wondered why MY oil cap says 710 and not oil.

You'll thank me later.

Thanks for input... heres a closer pic of the pcv valve, blow off, and turbo...

The PCV valve is barely even in the 3rd picture. It comes out the back of your Valve cover, What do you think is wrong with it? There is only one way to hook it up and yours looks right....

Ok, good deal, thanks. I was just wondering because I was getting blow-by, causing my dip-stick to fly up, and I was told that this was caused from increased pressure in the crank case. And I believe, not sure, that the PCV valve controls that pressure. So I was just asking to make sure it was hooked up right and that wasn't the problem.
