Just thought I'd share my joy with the rest of the world.

My new motor is installed and has been running for a couple weeks now with no issues thus far. I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out! Too bad it's so close to winter time, and she'll be going in storage soon.

Here's a quick glimpse of the motor after the shortblock was assembled.

Looks and sounds awesome man! Congrats on it, but sucks about her going in for the winter... But I am sure she will pur once spring comes around? :rocks: Let us know how she does until you put her up? :thumb:

Thanks! I plan on putting a different muffler on it this winter though. I built the exhaust, and used a cheap Ebay Megan racing muffler, and I hate it. I'm probably going to put on one of those black Hooker straight through ones. They seem to sound real nice.

That Megan sounds pretty good for what it is I guess...ROFL I bet a burns stainless would be real nice too! Overall, I love that talon rear end, I think the 1 gen talons look better than the 1 gen eclipses, so I guess I am partial to yours...:thumb: I would like to hear it w/ a different muffler and hear what it sounds like whe you're done? Awesome work! So did you do all of th instal then? Looks real good.:rocks:

Ya, I like the 92 style rear better. I had a buddy partin his out, and I needed a paint job, so I just put it on. I'm pretty happy with it.

As far as install, I have tried to build everything I could on the car. Homemade exhaust, homemade intake, charge piping, and I powdercoated it all at home too. The motor I had a shop build and install for me. It cost me a lil money, but I figured if I did it, I'd have spent just as much money fixing anything I screwed up since I've never done it before. I install everything myself, but this one thing I decided to just leave to someone who is more of an expert.

That's pretty cool that you have done everything else, I guess no one else reads or cares that you got your dsm together...:D, but its all good...:thumb: . I saw that sweet intake too in the vid...ROFL...

Nice motor bud. How do feel about the over all build quality of FFWD Connection's motor? Did they do the block as well?

I'm considering sending them my head to be freshened up and maybe getting their stroker kit too.
