Just yesterday I went in and saw the new Firestone Fuzion ZRi tire aimed at the sport compact enthusiast. My first impression is that it is a nice looking tire with a good tread pattern, similar to the Nitto 555 Extreme in some ways. Most sizes are W rated, and there are a ton of sizes to choose from. the Compound felt 'medium' to me, not too sticky, but yet i was able to dig my fingernail in without much pain. probably a decent/good handling and yet somewhat long lasting tire.
pricing is average for a higher end tire. I would expect it to perform well based on the Bridgestone/Firestone reputation, and that fact that this tire derived from the SZ50, and utilizes their Uni-T design & performance features.
Has anyone here tried this tire yet? pros/cons? I'm pretty sure I'll be getting a set within the next few months due to their introductory pricing, but will not put them on until fall when my current tires are totally worn. (this is, of course, assuming i don't hear any bad reviews on them)
any suggestions/opinions are appreciated

BTW, i'm FWD Turbo
ps... my other tire choice is the Falken Alzeni, due to their soft compound, but i hear they don't last too long.

I had Kumho's before these and dry roads were great but don't hit a puddle at speed, doing 65mph and hydroplaning is not for the faint of heart. Back to the Fuzion's, tread wear has been great for such a soft tire. I expect to get about 25k to 30K of life from these. My Kumho's lasted about 17K, and my Toyo's even less. Road noise, not even a consideration, of course a 3" exhaust might have something to do with it.
