So i just bought some new tires for my car and they are phenominal. for those of you who switch back to stock rims in the winter due to snow (cuz low profile wheels and tires are useless in the snow) id totaly reccomend BFGoodrich Traction T/A i spotted them on www.tirerack.com and saw they had nothing but good reviews, so i figured what the heck, bought them today tried them out. AMAZING grip response traction everything. My old tires, when i bought them new, id be at a stop and punch the gas to make a turn, they would chirp, these made no noise, just grabbed and pulled the whole way. keep in mind im automatic, harder to chirp tires to begin with. So anyone on the look for good performance tires for stock wheels, check them out.

I was wondering about those. How is road noise and sidewall stiffness? Do they give out on hard cornering?

I had BFG G-Force KDWS and they were pretty nice tires for an all season tire. Pretty stiff sidewalls and good grip compaired to the BFG Euro T/As I've had before. The tread belt started coming off the tire though so I'm replacing them. Unfortunatly, it's only after about 40% of tread usuage. I should have had plenty of miles left on them.
I ordered some Falken Azenis ST-115s which I've heard nothing but good things about so I'm looking forward to getting some miles on them. Kinda hard to find though, everywhere locally had to order them directly from Falken because their distributors were all out. I ended up getting them from FL LOL.

to be honest like at first the tires were a little scary, cuz i mean they are normal like big tires on 14 inch rims, so they do flex. but the tread on them over wraps onto the sidewalls a bit to provide that extra grip on hard corners... so like i live in the mountains and theres nothing but long windy roads backroads all that, so i started testing them out a bit. and like i said at first it was a lil nerve racking cuz of the tire response. on a typical hard curve, the tire flexs do to its big sidewall... but the corner grip catches you and pulls u in the turn perfectly. so the feeling u get is basicly this. at first it feels like ur gonna slip but then the corner tread kicks in and pulls u back and u feel the grip and feel fine. its the same with highway driving, i commute about 100 miles a day so i get alot of highway time, and they are awesome on the highway. again they do that flex grip thing, but after a few days when u get used to them, u dont even notice it. SO my advice to anyone who decides to get them give ur self a day or 2 to get used to how they work, then ull have real fun when u really push them. i was able to pull a 90 degree turn doin like 45-50 with out a chirp and feeling pretty safe (by the way its like a bit of a wide 90 degree not a strait side road LOL). but the true test will be winter and once i get some snow ill post and let everyone know how they are. the reviews said they are excelent in light snow. ill be the judge of that.

oh forgot to mention road noise.... its not that bad at all, my old tires, were much worse, these are actualy decent, not loud and annoying but still not whisper quiet, they have big thick tread on them but the road noise is deff low enough that u can totaly live with it
