I purchased a built engine from NY and it will be arriving within 2 weeks. I was wondering what all nickel and dime things should be installed while I have the engine out. I was thinking of engine/tranny mounts, ss clutch line, longer slave cylinder rod, and maybe bearing gear linkage. If you can think of any good ideas while it is out, I would appreciate advice in the next few days to allow for time to ship and such. I have a complete list of the engine parts on my profile

Obviously, all the timing components. BS elimination, if not done already. Master and slave cylinder replace or rebuild.

All gaskets top to bottom including:

1. Intake manifold
2. Exhaust manifold
3. Turbo to 02
4. Turbo to manifold
5. Oil pan
6. Intake and throttle body

That should keep you busy,

Andy

The b.s is already removed. It is coming with new timing belt, water pump, oil pump, gaskets top to bottom are coming with the engine. I will look into new master and slave cylinders though. I think I can pick them up off of the internet for a reasonable price. Keep any other ideas coming.

What is it with you and gapless rings? This is the second post you've suggested them in. What's the big fascination?

I would recommend replacing the mount at this time with some prothane ones. This is a breeze to do when making a swap, I would only advise you to try to smack the side mount out with a sledge and possibly a saw of some kind instead of using a torch to burn them out, this seems to work a bit quicker and is far less smokey. And since you will have this out, I would also consider doing some exhaust wrap on both the manifold and the turbo if this applies to you. You may also want to consider an oil cooler and or a tranny cooler at this time, they are both fairly straight forward as well. I hope this helps a bit

No, I haven't, and you didn't answer the question. You're recommending to multiple people on here without providing any reasoning, expect to be questioned.

While I havent used them on my current car, Ive helped a guy with a mustang GT put a set in and the car responded quite nicely.
