ok i have a new 2.3 6bolt in my car now and i am having a few problems. as i went down the road one time and pushed the gas nothing happend the rpms stayed the same. every once in a while it will back fire. i have searched every where if a boost leak will cause this but i havent found out yet. i have a boost leak at the bov befor the gm maf but i am not sure if this would cause a problem since the air hasent been metered yet. if your wondering why the problem hasent been fixed yet it is cause the section of pipe is aluminum and i have no way to weld on it and the pipe is messed up. it will be fixed soon
so i think maby it could be fuel filter cloged, fuel injectors dirty
old gas maby 5 months old with about 3 gallons of new
or some thing else i am running out of ideas here
if someone could help me out

um i am not sayin anything but why would you put old gas into a brand new motor? dead octane. what kind of blow off valve do you have?

there was a little gas in the car when the motor blew and i didnt drain it . i really didnt think it would be a problem since it wasnt much. the bov is a hks

I would def. check the gas, if nothing else put some heet in it, its better than nothing. Also is it past a certain point that it won't throttle up? I was just wondering how you got it going and on the road LOL. Check the throttle cable that it doesn't have too much slack. With the car off step on the throttle and have a friend make sure the TB opens all the way. Had this happen to mine and spent weeks figuring it out. If it doesn't open all the way make adjustments and you're good to go

the throttle cable is fine and the throttle plate opens. it was if the car was flooding really bad or not getting gas at all. it also backfired at that time. the car runs fine at mid high throttle it is low throttle this problem is happing. the car idles fine as well wich is why i am confused. i am checking the fuel system tomarrow.

yes i think that is deff a problem and i do have a leak but it is befor the gm maf so would it cause these problems or just cause a loss of power. i will fix the leak temporay untill i get a new bov flange and see if that fixes it
