New DSM member story and help!!

hey,
I have a 95 gsx with 105k miles on it. I just bought it for 4500 and I was totally gipped because the car didnt pass inspection and was in poor condition. though I amhaving problems with the car I am in love with it because it the first car I have bought by myself and I know the potential it has. I just recently took the car and got a new greddy blowoff vavle, fixed a cracked exhaust manifold, a major oil leak and and a brand new valve cover because the douch who sold me the car claimed he did work on it but it was shot. I was wondering as a newbie in the dsm world what is the fastest way to get my car up to 12s. The one good thing that came with the car is the big 16 g turbo and the fact the I have new friends from extreme motorsports who helped me when I was in need. anyone who reads this please give me advice in these certain areas:
Maintanance
How to make my car faster
Best quality parts for the car
Driving tips/what are the limits that my car has
How to get into a dsm crew and which ones to avoid
How not to get gipped by people who claim to have a good product
etc....
