need to find power cable in dash

ok heres the situation, i need to find a power cable i can tap into that is 12 v under the dash or center console, i need to tap my door poping mechanism into it cause i have shaved door panels and cant getinto my damn car unless i open the hatch and use a stick to reach for my door handle inside, its real ghetto and im tired of doing it so can anyone help me

Try your radio memory? It would need to be hot all the time I take it. You could run your own from the fuse box or battery.

I'd recommend running a FUSED wire(12 gauge or so) directly from the battery, some of those door solenoids can pull a decent amount of current.

ok, so 12 guage wire? and how would i hook it up to the battery? just like run it through the firewall and like bolt ot on the battery?

no i bought the damn car with shaved doors, an the kid who installed the sys was an idiot, he had it all hooked up wrong i spent 4 hrs today among countless other days figurin it out but now they werk thank god
