ok About 2-3 months ago I bought a TSI awd from a guy in NY, I am in illinois. I had the car shipped here, and he sent the title fedex. About a few weeks later, I noticed that the title shows in the lien holder box "chrysler financial corp" from when it was bought new. So I cant register the car unless I have the lien release papers from chrysler. I told the guy, and chrysler sent him the papers in the mail. That was about 6-7 weeks ago, he has since told me that he will send them..and even last week told me that he did send them. I still have nothing, and this guy is a pain in the ass to get a hold of. So I am looking for someone that can help me out, and get these papers for me, and send them to me, since I am all the way in Illinois, and I just need these damn papers. If someone can help me out email me at [email protected] or just reply to this post. Id really appreciate it. Thanks

The original poster is my brother, so ill answer the question before he gets to it.

The owner is located in NYC.

If you PM my brother, he'll give you his exact address, along with his telephone number for home and office.

Help a DSM'er out. my brother cant even drive his car, because we're not even sure its legal.

We can supply baseball bats as well :D

Ok, looking at the FedEX packing slip sent to my brother from this guy

address of his workplace would be 25 E 21st ST Floor 9.

New York, NY 10010-6232

looks like his home address is in New York, NY too.

hell yeah syracuse! you go to the school? cuz i do

Syracuse represent! Yeah, I go to LeMoyne College, I think I have like the only 1st gen in the whole damn school. There are a few 2gs and alot of third gen eclipses. Do you go to SU or something?

The owner is located in Long Island.

Some of the guys I live with are from Long Island, if school wasnt in session, they might be able to help, but they're domestic guys anyway, so they dont really care for DSMs. Sorry I cant help you.

No, that is manhattan... to be exact its downtown manhattan and it sounds like its around a public housing area close to Delancy. Too bad I don't live in NYC any more otherwise I could of gotten those papers for you. Try posting a thread over in nyccdsm.com they might be able to help you never know. Good luck.

he im in staten island ny...i mapquested the address to my addres..im only bout 30 miles away

Call the place that processed the lein directly, Say you bought the car and it had this lien on it and you need the lien release form. THey will ask for the vin and then mail the lien release to you,

yeah chrysler said they can only send it to the name on the title, and the address on the title. so any help?

the person who had that car no longer has it. Chrysler should be able to send it to you (new owner), I do not get that. I just went through this with my grand cherokee. I called the lien place in this case it was hudson valley credit and they sent me the release form that day.

:( Good Luck, I went thru a similar problem when I bought my RX-7. The owner dragged me through 3 months of BS before I eventually ended up giving him the car back and getting a refund.
