So Ive got my transmission out for a rebuild so of course I checked out my clutch as well. Open it up and don't like what I see. The car came from the previous owner with an ACT 2600. Turns out it isn't a 2600 disk, but im not sure exactly what it is. Doesn't matter because it is too worn to re-use. Both my pressure plate and flywheel look pretty bad. A bit of glazing and some cracks on both, I assume because the guy before me let the clutch drag. (also why im rebuilding the tranny) Flywheel is bad enough I am just replacing it, But I don't want to replace the pp unless I have to. It does have some light cracking on the outsides but none of it looks too deep. Do you think it can be resurfaced safely or am I going to need a full new clutch? Also, if you think I need a new clutch, feel free to make recommendations, just keep it under $400ish. Thanks for the help.
