Hey all, im going to clean my engine bay in a lilttle bit. What is the best product from an autoparts store to get to clean our engine and engine bays? Also what would the best procedure be to do the job.

i couldnt find anything i nthe search except for carpets and paint outside the engine. Thanks in advanced everyone, i know its a very newbish question, just dont wanna screw anything up.

I like to use regular dish washing soap and a sponge, and if it does not work on tough spots, I'll just use a small amount of [diluted in water] purple power or equivalent and see if that helps.

Basically my thinking is, it would not be wise to use a tough oil
De-greaser on the painted surfaces at first, I mean if you can use a bottle of regular soap and water, and it works perfectly why use the even harsher chemicals.

Oh yeah don't forget to buy two or three rolls of shop towels for the job, and don't be afraid to use a roll of them [or or so] getting all the grease and grime off etc.

Try to use waterless engine wash. Its way safer compared with traditional cleaning.
