Now that its cold out, my car doesnt like to start on me...
It will crank realllllllllllllllllllly slow and i just here this bad like grinding noise from the starter hitting the flywheel?

is it time for a new starter and new cables?

I had a similar problem with mine. I took it off and took it to advanced and had it tested and it tested out good. My problem was that the positive terminal on my starter was loose. A slow crank could also be due to a low voltage across your battery and or just the oil being thick.

it could be that the gear for the starter is not coming out far enough and its not engaging the flywheel all the way, so i would most likely replace the starter from what you say and go from there to see it that solved the problem. I've heard bad things about advanced and autozone starters, i would try to get an original one, but there are lifetime warrenties on the starters from the stores i believe.

^^ Your correct about the warentees on parts! Also right about the slow crank could be due to low battery (which is pretty normal for this time of year) and/thick oil.. What weight oil are you running? If I were you Id pull the starter and inspect the gear, and if its chewed up replace it.. Since you have it out it wouldnt hurt to have it tested anyways. The soleniod could be malfunctioning also..
