I have a 95 eclipse gsx and recently my flywheel went out. I went and bought a new lightweight awd flywheel (has 106 teeth not 110) and for some reason every starter i have tried to fit is too large and jumps the flywheel causing the end of the teeth to be grinded. I don't have a solution to this problem and none of my eclipse friends have had this problem.

Contact where you got it from and see why the teeth dont match up its not a oem flywheel its different. sounds like you need to contact them.

What brand of flywheel is it? I had the same issue with an "off brand" years ago. I just ended up swapping another flywheel and problem was gone. Also just in case, double check to make sure your trans bolts aren't loose and the trans isn't flexing cause misalignment. Im also in San Antonio, and wrench on DSMs off 1604/Culebra, if you ever need any advice or help.
