my clutch is gone on my 98 gst spyder, and im tryin to figure what to get, stock clutch?? or shud i get a perfromance clutch...i drive the car a lot on weekends, i dont want to get a clutch that will annoy the hell outa me cuz its 2 stiff..there mite be an upgrade in the near future(year or so) so what u guys think? btw, i just got new wheels so my budget aint 2 high, dont want somethin 2 crazy... ne suggestions
 
well, i've you've searched to boards.. at all... you'll find that the ACT 2100 and ACT 2600 are popular / recommended. You'll also find that the ACT 2100 is recommended for FWD cars (which yours is) and the ACT 2600 is recommended for AWD cars.

You'll also find that the ACT 2100 has almost the same pedal effort as the stock clutch - so it works better, but isn't harder on your foot. If you go to a 2600, as you'll find, the pedal pressure increases, but you get used to it pretty quick.

In your case, i'd recommend the 2100. You don't have AWD and you're not planning some really heavy modification.

Plus, you have a 7 bolt motor. A clutch with little pedal effort will put less stress on your thrust bearing, which will help crankwalk.
