Need help rewiring

I want to rewire my step lights(the ones by your feet) to turn on with the rest of my interior lights so at night i can have the floor glow. Any ideas where i can tap in for power that runs on that same circuit

personally I'd tap into the dimmer switch, it has the power, it's only on when your lights are on, and if you do it right then your floor lighting will be dimmer or brighter like your dash lights, that way you have some control (however limited).

Just run it to your dome lights.
