1995 Eagle Talon TSI
Went to charge my empty AC system and I do not think my ac clutch is kicking in. New condenser, and accumulator. Used a vacuum pump to evacuate the system for 30 min. It got down to -26 (units?) and stayed there for 20 minutes or so. I am at 7800 feet of elevation so I do not think I can get to -29.
On 1 (12 oz) bottle, high and low side pressures increased slowly (45 minutes) to 110 psi. While engine idled at about 850 rpm.
12 oz bottle still feels 1/2 full.
Shouldn't the compressor have drained the bottle sooner?
Do I need to rev the engine up to get more freon in the AC System
Cycling the ac button on and off makes the motor idle up and down.
AC fan comes on with AC button.
There are 2 connectors on the AC pump. One is a big black 3 or 4 prong connector, and one is a single connector the looks to connect the AC pressure switch to the big connector and a wire snaking down towards the AC pulley.
Which wire do I jump to activate the magnetic clutch?
Compressor has a good ground......got a spark on a (+) wire to compressor body. I just need to know where and what the magnetic clutch connector looks like.
Please help.

I found it....jumped it and nothing. No clicking at all. Tapped on it with a long pipe and tried it again. Bingo, it started clicking....guess I will try again.
*************update**************
Looks like its working...
Low side cycles between 25 and 53 psi.
High side cycles between 100 and 125 psi.
Are these numbers good or do I need to add more freon?
I have about 18 oz in it now.
