need help and advice

Ok I have a 94 eclipse base model 4g37 fwd im having idleing problems when I first start it in the morning it wont idle so I have to hold the gas pedal for about 5-10 min till its a little warm then it idles alitle ruff until fully warm then idles just fine. Also some times it ticks sounds like the lifters but I checked the lifters out there ok but the ticking only happens sometimes and the ticking acts like the idle problem the ticking stops whenthe car is warm.

Ticking is from (especially when cold start) is oil hasnt yet displaced.
check your ICV, ilde air control valve

also check vacuum lines

The rough idleing is probably due to either the MAF or most likely the Coolant Temperature sensor and/or Temperature Sender. THey're two little sensors located below (and about 2 inches to the left) of the thermostat housing.

I had rough idleing too, specially when it was cold, and often had trouble getting the car started. I changed both of them and now the car works just fine.
