need help alternator and power steering don't match

Hi everyone thanx for ## help in advance, here's my situation. I have a 95 gst that had a blown engine so I rebuold a 98 engine and put it in and kept everything the same from the 95 besides the alternator that came from the 98. Now everything is together but the alternator and powersteering don't match up to put a belt on... anyone have any ideas?? Its probly something stupid but I can't figure it out. Thanx again guys.

They aren't supposed to. The alternator runs off the outside of the waterpump pulley and crank. The power steering runs off the inside of the waterpump pulley.
