need body work help!

So i was driving down the road low boosting like a bau5, minding my own business, doing about 65mph when my hood came up. it shattered my windshield and caved in my roof. i was wondering if theres anything i can do about the roof. I already have a quote for the windshield and hood but my roof is just totaled. Any help/suggestions would be great!

Not sure about your hood, just a good body shop in your area is all I can recommend. As far as the windshield I know you said you already have a quote just thought I would recommend satellite. They came to my house an installed a new windshield in my 92 talon for a little over 200.00 very professional. Only reason I'm telling you is if your quote is higher than 300.00 I would give e them a call. Good luck with your hood.

If its dents your trying to fix take it to anyone of these dent places, they will get them out and save you the cost of a body shop. Then just have it painted if necessary.

You're not the first DSMer that this has happened to. My roof was dented with a crease, some people get lucky with just a smashed windshield. I replaced the hood and windshield cheaply enough but didn't touch the roof. A couple of years later the roof was the reason the car was the only one I've ever sent to the wreckers. Just wasn't worth it to me to save.

Pics would help alot more in this situation.

PDR guys might be able to pop the dent from the roof out. No guarantee.

If not, the body shop will probably san away the paint, weld some studs in strategic spots and pull them individually or all at one time. (Depending on the damage spot).

Then its just a simple blend and clear.

Once you put up a picture of the roof damage, I'll tell you how I would go about fixing it. I've done lots of body work on my own, never gone to a shop before. I've fixed totalled cars and got them back on the road...aka my very own eclipse was a write off when I got it and fixed it.

Depending on the damage, might be able to get away with taking out the headliner and pushing it back out, trick is not ending up with any seems near the top of the windshield. If the dents are really creased then will probably need to use a puller, then fill wholes and repaint.

I hope it isn't to bad, and is just a couple dents here and there. Those are much easier to fix.

Uploaded some pics of the damage from my phone. Im at work right now and dont have time to link them. Scroll thru my pics. a buddy of mine has connections at a junkyard so getting a hood and windshield wouldnt be a problem. Its just the roof im worried about.

If I were doing this it would be a combination of push and pull. Either by welding pull points or riveting, and then push up from the inside on any small areas left over. As for the front by top of windshield, once the big dent is pulled fixing that shouldn't be to bad, just sand it down and smooth it out. You'll certainly be needing a paint job after wards.
