Need advice on AWD strength

Ok so I found a good deal on a 95 talon awd 5 spd turbo for sale, and I was wondering how strong the awd drivetrain is? Is there anything I need to upgrade right away like whats the weakest part and whats a good way to make it stronger. I plan on just swapping my 16g setup over from my GST which I'm hopping it makes something around 300hp but i plan on trying to make 400hp down the road and yes I plan on dragging the car. I'm sure this is already covered but I've been searching for awhile now and I cant seem to find what I'm looking for and I'm sort of in a rush...Thanks and sorry if this is a dumb question

Covered before yes it has depends on a lot of variables, anything can and will break, goal for car, etc, get the awd for the future and awd equals power to the wheels versus wheel hop. I have a awd and have owned several fwd awd to fwd night and day, i hate hopping.

The gsx transmission is stronger than the gst transmission.

You can always beef up the tranny by having it rebuilt for different stages, check out tre, shep, there are few out there.

You would be surprised at how strong the AWD drivetrain is, As long as it is not a 90 to early 91.

One of the best-known weak-points of the AWD is the center diff.

91-92 have the strongest 3rd and 95+ has double synchro 2nd

Start dumping the clutch, you'll find out where the weak parts are pretty quick!! No, just kidding dont do that.. No one can really specify where YOUR cars weak points will be because everyones is different.. Some people can go years on 400-500 horsepower cars and not have a single problem.. Someone else on the other hand can have the same hp car and have a bunch break, t-case's, axles, center or rear diff ect.

^^^ partly true. I dropped at 6k all day and only fried rubber, but dropped at 3k once and snapped the left rear 3 bolt axle.

If you learn how to launch the car properly than you likely won't have any problems with it.
