Need advice i might buy this laser

hey guys i found a 1990 laser near my house. IT has 160k on the body and 90k on the engine. He just recently got new timingbelt, waterpump, bal belts, clutch, tires and brakes. It has pwr windows, locks, mirrors. He also has the windows tinted, pioneer cdplayer, polished 1g bov, k and n filter, mbc, auto meter boost gauge and tach. He said there is a small spot of rust on the car but i runs great. He is asking 2000 for it, does this sound like a good deal or is the price off? let me know thanks guys

laser's are cheap IMO, but i think you should be able to get it for about 1600-1800 at best

well im not looking for a car that im going to fix up, thats why i have a 2g i just need something to drive daily in the summer when its bad weather out or when i got to work. Arnt lasers basically the same thing as talons and eclipses...

lasers don't sell as much as either one of them. as a daily driver, just get a n/a, those don't have as many problem's as 1g turbo's have.

Well the 4g63t is a better engine than the 1.8l and besides he has hte major maintence done...and just got a new ecu...i shouldnt have many problems with it. i dont think

i'm sure you understand turbo car's have much more maintence than n/a. my guess is that n/a will go betta b/c gas for turbo 1g car's suck @ss...well if it has a 4g63t, i think it's a good deal, counting many things have been done to it to keep it maintained, then again...it's your money.

Hell, grab it. $2K's nothing in these days of $10,000 "starter" cars. Beat him down to $1800.

if you want a daily driver get a honda . they never break.

Im in the same boat as you. A guy by my house has a 90' Laser RS Turbo, the body has 180k on it and rebuilt engine has 30-40k on it. he also wants 2000 for it and it runs GREAT. i'd say do it by all means because im getting this one by my house in a month or so....when i get 2k

I would get ga honda but for under 2 grand it will be old as hell and have a shit load of miles...

oh ya and eventually if this car gives out i can use the block and jsut swap in my 7bolt and jsut sell it like taht =)
