Get a 90° bulkhead fitting for the housing. You won't have much clearance if you use a 90° hose end fitting on a weld on bung like the above.

I have the same bulkhead as he does, but its aluminum and seals to the fuel pump via oring but the oring keeps giving out. It barely clears for me

If you're looking specifically for steel, search for jic fittings. JIC fittings are mostly steel and brass, AN are aluminum.

I don't know anything about JIC fittings. Will I have to change the fitting on my ss fuel line to connect it?

And urban I thought about that but Im not sure about sizes fitting together correctly. Who is orni?

He's a certified welder and just wants to show off. :D
Buy a steel An bung the size you want and get a steel barb and send them to him. Good guy. I'll vouch for him.
BTW you most likely won't find any AN fittings at the hardware store. Not even my local specialty nut bolt and fitting store has AN fittings. Maybe check out summit jegs or better yet get ahold of DSM Forums - View Profile: 99gst_racer. Pretty sure he would have some AN fittings and could probably fix you up or save you on shipping and send them directly to Urban in the "great white north". Ahe

I looked at the hardware storeand found nothing. Ill try ace tomorrow.. What were you offering to weld for me? Lol

The AN bung you'll have to order from one of our vendors, the barb you can find in the plumbing section of ace.

Stainless would work too..

You got me :p

I still don't follow what you want the barb fitting for.

I'm guessing you want the barb welded to the inside of the hanger to make a hose connection to the fuel pump barb then weld the AN to the outside of the sending unit?

I had a similar problem of the stock pipe getting ruined so I just took the fuel pump coupling from the inside of the hanger and welded that directly to my weld on AN bung, drilled the hole big enough with a step bit and slide the entire assembly in the hanger then welded.
Doing it that way you can adjust the depth of the fuel pump coupler. I just set mine to the stock depth.

My temporary solution was to cut and grind down the underside of my fitting and slid a hose to it from the pump with some clamps.

I will order the an bung for urban to weld up for me, I found a barbs fitting.
