Need 12v Wire Location For EGT

I'm installing my Autometer EGT this week, but I need to locate a 12v wire under the dash to connect it to. This isn't for the lighting, I'm tapping into my boost gauge lighting for that. I have that hooked up to go on with the dash lights. If I use that for my 12v power, then my gauge will only work when my lights are on, right? So unless I'm wrong in my reasoning, I need to find a constant 12v power wire under the dash. Can anyone help me out here? I really don't want to sift through these wiring diagrams for hours...

Im lookiing for the same thing for the 1G as well, a power that will run when the ignition is on. Thanks

Hey, man, I found your wire. Go here:

Click "Electrical" then "Wire Colors" for a 1G. I believe it is the black/white wire in the ignition harness that you are looking for.
