Car has been in storage for awhile and I noticed these 2 plugs weren't connected to anything. Can you help me identify what these are?

1st pic is the plug for a emission control solenoid (usually mounted on the firewall, next to the brake booster)

2nd looks like either a knock sensor plug (if it's in a grey colored housing) or an EGR Temp sensor (black colored housing)... both would normally be under the intake plenum

Not so fast. This is a 2G, right? The first one would be for the fuel pressure solenoid valve. The second, for the EVAP emission purge control solenoid valve.

Remember, this exists for 2Gs: 2g Engine Bay Electrical Connections.

first one looks like stock fuel pressure solenoid. second one is also questionable for me to. my 99 gst harness has that plug to but i don't have a sensor over there for it. knock sensor plug is by the throttle body

It's been answered above. It would not surprise me to learn that your EVAP emission purge solenoid valve was probably removed as part of an emissions delete.

my car is a 97. i have a 99 harness in. My car was a part out victim so it wouldn't surprise me if it did have it but i highly doubt it. my car sensor set up was evap purge solenoid, egr solenoid behind the intake. and the fuel pressure regulator solenoid by the brake fluid reservoir with the same plug.

In 1998, the EVAP purge solenoid moved from the firewall to the side of the intake manifold by the coil pack. So it is no surprise your 1997 model vehicle has all those components on the firewall.

ok that clears that sensor up for me LOL. I've deleted emissions in mine and didn't touch that one because i didn't now what is was for. could mark this post as answered now
