i blew my engine.. i was wondering if the cams or anything else will go bad if i put a n/t engine in with my stock manifold and turbo setup.

Swapping an NA is possible. But switch the cams over, they'll give you more performance. Just remember that you won't have oil squirters, and you have higher compression pistons in an NA. So you'll have to either turn the boost down or put lower compression pistons in.

-Check to see if the na motor has a spot for the knock sensor.

im currently looking for an engine.. rebuilding mine isn't cost worthy. the cheapest engines are the n/t ones, so i was looking for those.. and what kind of problems would i get into with out "oil squirters"? while driving 200 miles to college?

Yes there is a spot on the nt engine already tapped for the knock sensor. You sill be able to run the nt engine but wont be able to push more than 7-9psi and still be safe. Most people that use the nt engines build it up with forged internals.

There is one, but I couldn't get my extra knock sensor to thread in. My threads might be bad, though, so I don't know.

I doubt that not having oil squirters will harm you, but the higher compression pistons may.

is there anywhere that i can get a 4g63t engine for under a grand..used/reconditioned/rebuilt... doesn't really matter as long as it runs

or transfer case.. do they just sell complete engines? that and im looking for less than a thousand..

that rebuild kit works for the turbo cars? the pistons aren't the "high compression" ones.? and i notice that doesn't include any of the head stuff.. if i went this route.. where could i find a descent head replacement? don't want to rebuild that one.

Yes that rebuild kit is for the 1g Turbo car, if you want a new head look on ebay for rebuilt heads, I see some being offered at around $300-400 I'd pull the engine yourself, dissasemble it and have the block redone by a machine shop and have them throw in the rebuild kit.

about how much would it be to have the block redone.. im full of stupid questions tonight.

i was just looking for a rough estimate. thanks for the help.
