My tsi and plans!

Hello just wanna start off with im new to this forum. i have owned a couple talons before this one. One of them was a 1990 tsi awd. secodn was a 1994 front wheel drive tsi.

I just picked up a 1990 tsi awd for $800 bucks
car runs good. just needs a new axle its going out. over the weekend one of the injectors went out. i parked it in the garage and looking at the motor i decided to pull it all apart. right now im in the proccess of pulling it.
My plans are to make this car 500awhp daily driver!! i wanna start a project thread but dont no where to start it. if someone would recomend me a place to start that would be good cause im new to this forum!!
also if soemone would give me an aprox lsit of parts id like that.

Nice car. You have your work cut out for you. Honestly if you have to have a list of parts you probably need to set a smaller goal. Maybe 300-350 hp. You can do that with simple bolt-ons. A halfway reliable 500hp car will require a built motor with a big turbo that will probably not be to street friendly. There is a good bit of money involved and alot of tuning. Good luck to you on whatever you decide to do.

Brian crower 272's or 280's still debating with the brian crower springs/rutainers
new lifters.
1mm oversized valves
HKS Cam Gears
Godspeed 70 trim turbo
Better Exhaust manifold
650 injectors
Aftermarket fuel rail
NGK spark plugs/wires
God speed Front mount intercooler
Stage 3 clutch lighter fly wheel



For tuning i dont no what to run
i kinda wanna go with the DSM Link. is there any other tuners?
i dont wanna run an AEM right away.

if theres anything else i need or upgrade on this list let me know.
and of course it is pricey but im in no rush to finish this car. i wanna do it right, right away.

The first thing you want to do is go through the engine and replace any worn hoses or belt, and put all new fluid in it.

That list won't get you to 500 hp reliably. Start by replacing maintenance items, then move on to modding.

Thanks guys. well im pulling the motor out and replacing every single gasket and all the maintance items, waterpump, oil pump, alternator, etc.. im still debating on the hp. its hard to get to the goal that i want. with supporting mods how much can a 20g put out?

Check out the "members" area at the top of the page and click on "DSM Dyno Challenge" and sort by 20G turbo. Then check out what mods people have to get that hp/tq. If you were just a little closer I'd offer to give you a hand with building your car, it sounds like it'd be a lot of fun! Good luck with it man. Make sure you read through all the tech articles and frequently asked questions and check out the upgrade path too. There's so much info on this site about our cars it's ridiculous. You can literally find anything you need to know about them on here, just do a search for it.

Don't forget when you do searches that you can try choosing "Search thread titles only", that helps me out a lot.
