lamborghini, makes a wicked pearl orange. it's on their newest diablo's it's a tri stage, shoulden't be anymore expensive than the other tri stage paints. Just remember, pearl paints are harder to match when re-painting

got a pic?

The reason the copper 2g looks way different in that picture is that the paint is old and has no wax on it at all it appears. Buff that shit out and I'm sure it'd look a lot closer to the Pontiac color than it does in that pic.

The Lambo orange that your thinkin of is a House of Kolor mix. Its the same orange that was used on the supra in F&F. The only reason I know is because that is the color I was looking into goin with when i redo mine this winter, I hope.

but I really like the orange on that pic with the S15 headlights. I know that the Lambo orange is expensive because its a House of Kolor mix but i'm sure the right body shop should be able to recreate it.

I like the blue found on some turbo PT Cruisers and the 2003 Protege

No it's not a House of Kolors mix. It's what's on my car and I used all PPG stuff to do it it. here's a couple pics

And just in case you were wondering, those are blue pearl tribal ghost flames :thumb:
Also, yes, that is the same paint in both photo's. It's got a TON of pearl in it so it looks really different in different light. You can almost see how much from the way the light catches it on the fender in the second photo. ;)

Here's a better pic of the 2g copper.

yes it is a house of color mix because i called the actual shop that painted all the supras for the movie. the name of the shop is Quigly's Auto Body & Paint in Lake Forest Cali. the paint code is PBC - 32 and needs to have a white base.
call the shop trust me.

That shop may have used House of Kolors but PPG also has the same paint. Trust me, I know, I mixed it myself off of the PPG mixing bank. Just check the post above yours for the PPG code ;)

anyone know the code for the candy tangerine....i tried doing a google search and i came up with nothing, i dont even really know how to search for automotive paints, any links to color charts(if possible ) would aslo be great, thanks

Kandy paint is a special type of paint and is usually very expensive and can look bad if done by someone not experienced in them. If you do go with a kandy color, I'd recommend House of Kolors.

i thought that to make a car "Candy" you pick a base coat and put the candy on top, isnt the candy just like a clear coat?

For the House of Kolors stuff you spray a base color, then a kandy topcoat, followed by a clearcoat. It's a three stage just like a lot of pearl colors. Only it really is a pain in the ass to use and can come out bad if you don't know what you're doing. But, when done right, it looks awesome

Go with that protege orange. I rarely see that around. My girl painted her car a flat orange and put her own pearl over it. Same effect....a lot cheaper than a candy or any House of Kolor paint.
