Hey everyone, this is my first actual post here on DSMtuners. I'm not really new to this place because I've read quite a few posts here for almost a year now, especially a bunch of crankwalk threads before I purchased my turbo DSM. I would like to get 'involved' a little more because I am beginning to modify my car quite a bit now. I've only done bolt-on mods so far, all listed in my profile, I think? All done within the past year.

Anyways, I've owned 2 DSM's. My first one was a 1994 eagle talon, beautiful car, but it was a DL. 'Loved it', but that one's gone. HAHAH! Right now I own a 99 eclipse gsx. It's been mine for a year now, but man, what a difference from that DL! I love this one! I do have one question about it though. How do I know if this one here has an original limited slip? Would I even notice a difference if it did or didn't have it? Any suggestions to help me figure it out is all appreciated, thanks!

I dont know much about AWD . But i did some research for you, and yes it comes with a LSD standard. I just went to www.cars.com and looked it up for you. The front doesnt though. When your car is almost stock you dont need to worrie about that. Just start modding. She will hook up fine. :thumb:

On the driver's side door sill, there should be a bright orange sticker that says something to the effect of "Warning: This car is equipped with a viscous-coupling limited slip differential... etc etc."

As for whether it has an aftermarket LSD like a Quaiffe or Phantom Grip or anything else, you'd probably have to open it up to find out.

If you are talking about your rear diff being an OEM LSD, only early '95s came with LSDs. You can tell by looking on the rear diff itself and there is a sticker that says LSD.

You can always jack the car up, put it in neutral and spin a tire. If the tires counter rotate than you have an open diff. If the rotate the same direction then you have an lsd.

Another thing too that I want to know, is why in the 95s, half of them have slipping differentials and others have locking differentials. Why they didnt stick with one, who knows?

My car came equipped with a LSD but I didnt have this sticker. I think someone removed it. But like stated above, it will say "Viscoud LSD" right on the diff. I supplied a pic of mine for reference.

I was on my lunch break today and got super bored, saw the camera and remembered this thread. Here's the sticker, for future reference:
