that's worthless for tuning. we NEED wot runs. nothing else. all the talk of timing advance and 02 voltage is only valid when the tps reads over 85%.

Granted WOT runs are needed, but what about tuning for part throttle? Are you supposed to just wing it?
 
We can't do shit for tuning with the crap he's sending us.

Sean, we NEED a WOT log, for the umpteenth time. WIDE OPEN THROTTLE. Push the gas all the way to the freaking floor at like 3000 rpm, and hold it there until you get near the rev limiter.

Then post up the numbers.

I have been logging till my RPM's on the dash hit almost 7000. I dont know if the logger isnt seeing it or what, but im all the way up there. Being a automatic have anything to do with it? When i bury it, no matter how hard i put it down, the tranny shifts between 6300-6800. It i svery hard to get it up there. Ive got a 7 sample per second data rate and ive checked my PDA to the SAFC to the Tach in the car and they are all within 10rpms of eachother. I dont understand why it isnt logging it. Im gonna play with it tonight and see what i can come up with. Sorry for posting all that other garbage i guess. Ill figure it out
 
i guess i could leave it in "2" apposed to "D" and get it up there, Im gonna try tightening up the cable I watched the PDA earlier when i was beating on it and 1 out of 4 times i tried to go WOT i saw the TPS on the PDA read over 90% the rest it was around 75% -85%
 
if you can get logs over 85%, that should be good enough. 90+ would be better.

those are what we want though.

See if you can't get your sample rate higher. Have you played around with the settings yet? I am able to get mine up to 18 sps.

I wouldn't worry too much about you not being able to get readings up to 7K (a downside of automatics, I know), but concentrate on the throttle opening all the way. If it isn't open all the way, it could be the cause of you shifting prematurely. Also, what does the logger say when your tach hits 6800. The tachometer isn't as accurate as the logger.

wow your getting 18 samples a second thats insane, I start to get errors pretty steady after 8 samples. So i dropped it down to 7 to make sure i get a steady readings.
 
It's amazing how different these cars react. I got it up to 20 sps, but I was getting errors so I backed it down... dunno, perhaps I got lucky :shrug:
