mods are in profile didnt log the o2s casue my sensor went dead I have this sudden jerk\backfire but you cant hear any load pop just feels like the car shut down and then takes back off this is all on 93 and 22psi

I think It looks good the timeing drops when boost comes on but then starts to climb
the thing that is getting me is that jerk around 5700 rpms any ideas.

Also, timing should drop when boost starts, but your timing gets pretty low at some parts (7*) and that is not good...Have you done any tuning on the safc?? Maybe 22psi is too much for pump gas with the s16g...Seems like you get some massive knock, but then also your timing is way too low in the upper rpm's also....

It goes from 22 at the beginning of boost/before boost, and ends at 10-13* at the rev limit....That is not good

Once again, another one of your posts that I don't agree with. Please explain to me why a dead O2 sensor is going to do anything more than screw up his gas mileage and throw a CEL for a FT malfunction.

To the original poster:

The ECU does not use the O2 sensor at WOT, only at cruise / idle, so that is not the cause of your problems.

A couple of things to check:

What is your spark plug gap?

What spark plugs are you using?

Have you done a leak test?

Post up your Ne points and corresponding SAFC-II correction factors along with your TPS switching points and we can start to figure this out.

did a boost leak test holding pretty good except my bov opens at 11psi Thats another post though If you care to look at it its in problem diagnose under (question on evo8 and 1gen bovs. ) sorry it took so long to anwser had some stuff come up .

I just said it would screw things up (ie your car's normal behavior)...I do consider poor gas mileage and CEL's as "screwed up"....

I don't really wish to look at a whole different thread, but if you are saying there is a leak at the bov then how come you haven't fixed it yet??

5k, 6k, and 7k, look totally lean. YOu should add some fuel on these rpms. Your goal is at least 16-17 degs of timing on PUMP GAs.

Exactly what the guy before me said. You need to tune your car strickly by the amount of timing being pulled. I had the same problem with my car though. Mine actually turned out to be the stock FPR being overflowed. The fuel would get backed up in the fuel rail and forced out the injectors making the car run super rich and it would pop just like it was hitting fuel cut. Just my two cents.
