Well I know this should have probably been posted in the HANGOUT but I figured even the newbies should have a chance to tell the birthdate of their cars.

My can will be turning 20 years old in JUNE of this year (2010). It makes me feel great to know that these cars have been around for this long and haven't been made in 11 years but yet they still have a hugh following and we all share the same love and passion for these WONDERFUL cars. :hellyeah:

I would like to know how old everyones cars are and when their birthday. I'm actually thinking about have a birthday party for my car because well it's my baby and I'm happy to have one that is this old and is not in the GRAVEYARD. So lets see how old you car is and have you ever thought about having a birthday party for your car.:rocks::rocks::rocks:

15 years and 5 months. November 1994. I have never thought of having a party tho.... What kind of cake would you bring? :D

Just think in 5 years your car will be able to rent a car with out extra fee's!!!!:hellyeah:

This all is very true. The biggest thing is in 5 years I can get HISTORCIAL plates for her here in OHIO. That is like getting the senior discount at a resturant LOL ROFLROFL. As far as the cake I'm up for ideas on that one. Anyone????

I've got a 45-year-old VW Beetle. It's disassembled right now. One day I was working on it and I uncovered a date-stamp on the chassis; sept. 5, 1965, or something like that. I thought of pouring a little booze in the tank, or something like that. LSD, maybe. It's been to Grateful Dead shows. I didn't do it. The gas tank was on a shelf in the garage, upon reflection. It wouldn't have done much good.

Now, I know about everclear. My DSMs are 16 & 18-years old. I don't know their exact B-Days. I should check. Maybe for their 20th's they'll get some everclear in the tanks.

If I remember, I should take my cars to the factory on their birthdays. All the employees seem to like to see them. A luxury of living in Normal, I guess.

My 1990 Laser RST Born in October 1989.
That makes her 20 and a 1/2.
When her plates are up this year she is getting collector plates.
In WI its a one time registration fee for the life of the vehicle, has to be 20yrs old and you can't drive in January or some month in the winter.
My talon just turned 15.

Nice! I have a 70 Beetle. My oldest car. Also my first car. My newest car is an 06 VW GLI-garbage. Never buying another watercooled VW again. Next to that is my Trans Am which is 8 years old already. My Eclipse is 11, My Talon is 13 and the other DSM's and cars are 18 or 19 years old.

That would be awesome to do. If mine would make it that far I would think about doing it but right now she is tore apart anyways. She is getting a heart transplant because the motor that was in it was the orginial which still ran but had some issues. It's great to hear about everyones cars and what they have. :thumb::thumb:

Awwww just looked up the historical plate in Michigan, suxor.

The vehicle has to be 25, and cannot be used for normal transportation. Has to be out for only special events.

Only 9 years 7 months.....

Mine had it's 20th birthday in November or December and we will have been together 20 years in June this year.
