Ok. Here is the deal. My cars water pump went out and my Dad and I changed it. Well we didn't time it correctly and we bent 8 valves. So we took it to a shop and they redone everything. I got the car and its been running great for two months. Well one night I came home and everything was fine. Nothing wrong. The next morning my car won't start. It just turns over and over. It misfired twice. I took the timing belt cover off and half the timing belt was gone! I mean it was a clean cut! It was like splitting a normal timing belt in half. It was still tight what was left on there. I mean it literally looked like a factory cut. Questions are do you think I bent any more valves when it misfired and second what in the hell happened? It had no symptoms of anything. Thanks all!

.... The mechanic said something about where the head was resurfaced one side of it may be uneven? I kinda' doubt it since its done by a machine. Think it was just the belt? All replies are welcome. Thanks!
