My 96 GSX AWD TURBO BUILD W/new bearings and lifters

Hi I bought an 96 AWD gsx feb. 6th on craigslist..
1996 Eclipse gsx AWD TURBO Beautiful 5 speed!!!!!! It is a 5-speed with gray leather int. If you read the ad you'll know...I talked him down to $2200, I think I got a kick ass deal, and Im building a 6 bolt on the side to put in it..so ill post pics of everything I can and keep you guys posted..So far I'm currently replacing the lifters with revised lifters and putting new topline main and rod bearings in, and doing several oil changes...to be continued..

here are some more misc pics. My valve cover was done by my friend from hipsipowdercoating. The next thing im gonna do is put my chrome powdercoated power steering canister on and get a smaller battery cause mine looks like crap at the moment.



And some plans changed I'm am not going to be putting the 6bolt in the car. I'm happy with the 7-bolt. I am still aiming for 450awhp - 550 awhp.

I am waiting on a 3in Megan exhaust to come in the mail so I will have 3in exhaust from the turbo back. And I need to install my Hks turbo timer.

But since the last time I updated you guys and girls Ive done alot of work on the car. And spent over $3,000 since march.

1. fmic by Vrse speed.
2. big 16g Mhi turbo
3. Injen knock off intake w/filter
4. Vrse jpipe
5. 16G install kit
6.hayame fuse box cover
7. Gst chrome wheels
8. Ngk spark plugs- Bosch wires(black)not pictured
9. New valve cove gasket.
10. sfp maifold
11. hks wastgate
12. 3in ebay downpipe
13. megan crank pulley
14. BSE kit from slowboy
15. OEM gasket & topline Bearings threw out
16. All new timing components from sloboy
17. Greddy timing belt
18. All gates acc. belts
19. samco blue upper radiator hose
20. greddy 1.3 radiator cap
21.Ebay bov (want greddy bov)
22. 4g63 oil cap
23. magnetic oil drain plug
24. hid head lights
25. new oil/filter/coolant/pcv valve
26. poly motor mounts(need rear)

where did you end up putting your coolant resivoir? the VRS/SS autochrome setup won't allow it to remain in the stock location.

I actually ended up zip tieing it to death were the stock air ducts went so I can fill it if i need. too. Ill try to get some pics up.

stupid question but are you a girl doing this build? Not that it matters but I notice it says Jens AWD and then the name. I have a guy friend named ashley so ya never know.

Wow, this is kind of cool watching somebody else build the same kind of car that i have. Color, Model, Year. , except i picked mine up for $1,000. Ive had nothing but problems. yours looks like it was taken care of tho. mine had sand in the trunk down where the spare tire sits, and a 9mm bullet. I was kindof mad. I like the Valve Cover. thats cool.
