Hello,

If you look at my journal I have recently acquired a great deal of OEM suspension parts. Everything that I have ordered so far has been pretty straight forward except for the part number listed above.

If you visit Mitsubishi Parts | OEM Mitsubishi Parts | Genuine Mitsubishi Parts and enter this part number you will not find any description stating left or right side. However when I received the part if you look closely you will see at the end with the bushing "end that attaches to subframe" one collar of the bushing protrudes slightly more than on the other side.

This leads me to believe that there is a difference since only one side protrudes. Hence the left and right side arm "should" have opposite protrusions. However, because neither the website I provided nor JNZ's OEM site has different part #s listed for left or right side application, I am at a loss.

Anyone with any insight to this part please chime in.

Car is 2GB AWD.

I will post a picture tomorrow.

If you notice the bottom part of both arms, right hand side. The slight metal sleeve that comes out of the same side on both arms. As mentioned I could not find a left and right part description for this arm. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Mitsu has a different PNC for L & R, however they resolve to the same Part # in my version of CAPS (V3.21), part # MR131754.

Typically, when there is a left-to-right difference, the right side part # will end with an even number and the left side part will end with an odd number.

My guess is that the difference between L & R was very minor, so the left was discontinued and the right side part superceded both (MR vs MB). Looking at other suspension parts that are not handed, the PNC is the same and the quantity is listed as 2.

Or not :D

I had the same issue. Never found an answer.

So now that leads me to my next question. How do I go about getting the part for the left side? Ask the OEM supplier I went through?

Just an update.

I received this in an email from my OEM supplier.

"Jeff,

Mitsubishi is telling me that both sides are now replaced with the same part number."
