I have a problem with my MPI fuse blowing and I can not figure out why. I already tried replacing the relay, but it is still blowing. I am going to check the fuel pump tomorrow and see if there is a loose connection on my injectors. But I have no idea what it can be. The car is a 1992 Laser RS AWD. Everything is still stock. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks for the help!

Does your car stop running when its blown? I'm just wondering because my car stopped running and I saw that my MPI fuse was blown so I replaced it and then it started up but sounded like complete A$$ and stopped again.

Yea it just stops. Most of the time it doesn't even start, it blows when it turns over. The fuses are expensive so I try not to try it too much.

my mpi fuse was doing the same thing turned out to be a bad 02 sensor. swapped out the sensor and no more dead fuses

probably one of your connections in the fuel pump assembly is wrong.... maybe + and - are slightly touching somehow

Do you mean at the fuel pump? I am going out there right now to check that.

A hose blew the other day and got antifreeze everywhere in the engine bay. May a wire got shorted out there? I just don't know which one it can be.

Thanks for the input.

Ya mine is being caused by a bad Power Transistor I hope. Ive checked everything else and thast the only thing left.

Ok. I think I found it. There was a loose connection on the temp sensor wire. I unplugged it and it started fine. I hope this is the only problem. :thumb:
