Lack of oil.

Timing belt jumped and valves locked or broken.

More info could help.

What was the car doing just before the failure?

Fuel lines clogged coz tank had sediment in it. I tried cleaning but ended up replacing it along w/ pump and filter...what came out of filter looked like a cup of unmixed hot chocolate! Anyway, got all that replaced and went to start car...it was acting like it still wasn't getting fuel (I only had about half a gal to put back in), went and filled it up w/ 93 oct (non ethanol) and i basically had to keep it floored (5spd btw) to get from gas station to my mechanics (100yds away). It just didn't want to run, like it wasn't getting fuel or out of time. The tank had to be replaced again (leaking around seal for pump coz one stud was broke and another was stripped), so I had them do it when they were "supposed to" put back in time...well, i guess I've had them do so much work on this car that they're tired of me! Lol ...so they told me motor was seized. I took it to friends house who has another 4g63t we were gonna swap til we put a wrench to it and it turned, so now (since I've never messed w the time on a vehicle and don't wanna mess anything up more than I probably already have) I'm waiting on funds so I can have it towed to his mech to have it timed and then the heads and valves checked out. I've never been this deep into one and am not sure about several things...I've found a couple links for the time, but I still am not sure what to do or exactly how to do it. If you've got any tips, tricks or helpful suggestions, I'd really appreciate it!

If you had that much trash in the fuel filter, some may have passed through and clogged the injectors.

Pull the fuel rail and check the filter baskets in the fuel rail side of the fuel injector.\

Then check your timing belt marks.

It'll be several days before I can work on it again because of location and weather, but I'll definitely check the injectors and their baskets. I was supposed to get new inj and a fpr from a friend when he gets the time to look thru his garage for them, but right now it only has a walbro 255 and i think the rest is stock as far as the engine goes. As for the marks, are they just supposed to be in the same position on the tops cams when the pins are at 12 o'clock or do they need to be "touching" because right now they are at the same spot on each of the top cams with the dowel pins at 12.

Thanks for the link big bird...I've still got to wait until I get another day off to work on it tho.
