Hi i hooked up my keenwood touch screen dvd player and use a adaptor to hook it to my stock amp and now every time i reff the engine or drive it whines like crazy and really annoying! first it came from the driver side tweeter so i unhooked it and it was fine till one day i got on the gas and was booking it then it started in the passager side rear speakers

I hooked the stock amps romote wire to the fusebox cause the one on the radio didnt work could this be the problem?

i had used this same method in my gst car and didnt have this problem

dont worry there is a cure for that noise and ive tried alot. the alternator has a small power wire that feeds the car upgrade that with a 4 gauge or a 2 gauge wire then that noise will go away

Find a better ground.
Mine was making that noise when I ground it with the car radio wire so I just find a better way to ground it and its gone ;)

X2 on a better ground... I have had this happen multiple of times and using a different ground will remove the whine.

I will try the ground first that seems the easiest way. I will ground it to the car its self

Well, I'm having the same issue myself, however I have a Pioneer which supposedly are known for this and having a "Pico Fuse" blow out which eliminates the RCA ground. Do you have any stock speakers that run straight from the head unit?

If so, try removing the RCA's from the back of the head unit that run to the amp and then see if your speakers which run straight to the head unit make the same whine. If so, then you got a problem with the head unit itself. It could be multiple things, unfortunately I'm not knowledgeable enough to advise you from that point. However, if the speakers don't whine and it's only the ones running to the amp, try grounding the RCA cables themselves. Just do a simple google search or maybe even a site search on Tuners here for Ground RCA Cables Head unit, and your bound to find what I'm talking about.

Hope this helps!

I would try a better ground and if that does not work you can get a filter at Radio shack.I have used one before and it works great.

Its called ground loop, its when the ground is not sufficient for the current draw, you can either get a bigger ground or get a ground loop isolator.
