As most of you probably know , i founded the Road Rally Against Cancer Organization www.RRACO.org

My donated car to run in the rally to raise money for cancer is a 98 eclipse rs... , beings that mostly high end exotic cars run in the rally i was wondering what i can do for cheap ,

and if anyone knows any companies i should write for sponsorship for the american cancer society donations when im done with the rally... , at this point anyone willing to donate or sell a cheap exhaust would be awesome , please email me [email protected] , and hopefully il get some good feedback in this post for what i should do first... - Dale

For the cheap, since it's a good cause...

used GST rear section
used UDP
hack the airbox for better airflow (just as good as any eBay intake imo)
maybe a used header?

That's about all you can really do short of getting into the engine to make it faster (and it's not going to be much faster at all). Why don't you just roll the turbo car and donate the GS to the charity itself? Scared it wouldn't make it? :D I think a good 2GNT would get them a pretty penny at the auction when it was sold.

Instead of putting money into a car you don't see much point in modding, put a couple bones into the TSi and get a temporary graphics package for the sides with the charity named. This is inexpensive and would make an excellent promotion for them. You might even make their website for some time. And besides, you're more familiar with the personality quirks of your 4g63 than a 420a. Which would you rather have issues with on the road? Something you know exactly what's wrong or something you would need to post here about? Turn down the boost, tune up the car, and get the TSi ready for the long haul imo.

Good job getting the DSM community in front of the public eye in a good way. :thumb: :talon:

Hey , thanks for the reply! , here is my problem , i no longer own the tsi..LOL`,`however i will try to do as much as i can on the NT , i have a paint and body kit sponsor , and i own a graphics shop so im good there , im going to sema this weekend , i hope to return with a turbo sponsor :) , any parts anyone has for sale for this car let me know , il do my best for parts

If he sold his car and bought a turbo, then he wouldn't have a car and would just have a turbo lying around. What would be the point of doing that?

^^^I hope your joking

I have seen a decent gain from:
Ebay Cold Air Intake-@$50
highflow muffler with 2.5" piping-@$100 for piping
(if it is a rally, you prolly wont need a cat so go 2.5 from the downpipe back)
I have an N1 style straight through muffler I will give you if you pay for shiping, shouldn't be more than $20.

SSautochrome or used header-@150 from ebay
UDP @140 from howellautomotive.com (you could probably find a used one for cheaper)
ported throttlebody and intake mani- Not sure about price

Get rid of the A/C and strip it down to the bare metal. Take out all of the seats/sound deadening, spare tire has to go, rear interior panels, etc...
