More Room-Hello

Hey just wanted to post in here letting everyone know I'm back. I used to have a Plymouth Laser RS FWD 4g63T and loved the hell out of it. Had to leave it behind when I moved up from AZ. Anyways got myself a nice 95 Eagle Talon TSi AWD with solid 155-160 psi across the cylinders, and am ready for some fun.

Does anyone drive one of these and is a bigger guy and has any ideas on how to make this room a little bigger.
Has anyone taken out or modified the center console?

You could construct a new center console and get a couple inches, probably wouldn't be worth it for you unless you could make a carbon fiber one for yourself.

A longer arm rest can be takin from a 95-99 avenger sebring.

Other than that.Your looking at some custom work possibly.

There is quite a bit of stuff (shift linkages, computer (bcm maybe?) and the handbrake hardware under the center console. I can't really see how you would gain any more room. I guess you could make a custom center console that was a bit lower (maybe 2-3 inches) from the shifter back but I can't see that helping much.

I'm 5'11" and 300lbs (it fits). I fit nicely. But, my door panels are out. Gives me extra room. Plenty of it. We had a guy in our group that was like 6'4" and skinny that fit in his GST quite comfortably.

I will be taking out the side panel on my side at least has anyone had something custom for that?

Going from my 1g to my spyder is light night and day difference.. So much room for activities!! Of course I dont have you tall people problems. Im 5'4" hahaha.

Yeah I am working on it lost 30 pounds since Christmas, and am going in for the gastric bypass op. This car is my motivation for following through on it.

I'm 6'2" and abut 270 lbs, and I fit well enough in a 2G. The lean-back mod on the seat is all I need.
